sat nav help

Hi, just got a Z4M and I need advice on the Satnav, It thinks its at Newark! when its actually about 60 miles away. I've been to my local BMW dealer who said they'd need to run a diagnostic on it at the cost of £40 per hour. Anyone got any ideas? I'm thinking of disconecting the battery in the hope that will reboot the system?

Hi and welcome, disconnecting the battery for 30 minutes or so would be a good first option and could fix.

GPS Antenna from ebay is only £15 or so so might be worth a punt if you feel that is at fault.

I had a similar issue - dealer ended up replacing a unit related to nav under warranty

GPS antenna is by the instrument binnacle not behind the bumper.
