Sat Nav Full postcode Search

Ive got the 2007-2 nav disk - i noticed the postcode search only appears to take the first 4 letters - it doesnt do a full search? Am i doing something wrong? It would be a lot better if you could just use the full post code and road number... but as it is ive got to put the road name in too!

Is this changed ont he newer nav disks?

That's what you get, not full postcode

The only way to get a ful postcode search is from a disk that has been amended by adding a full postcode file as a POI.

Have you done this? Its SO annoying why BMW do this!

Nope - I have it done for speed cameras, but the principle is the same. I'm sure there is a post on the board somewhere from a guy who has done it, but it's beyond my ability.
 
very messy too.. not the prettiest to use once you've done it.

I believe 2009-1 is out now.. haven't properly looked yet though.
