S54 Vanos oil filter change

Hi all,

I just changed my vanos filter tonight as the parts are surprisingly cheap and it's a doddle to do requiring a 22mm socket and 15 minutes of time (lots of videos on you tube how to do this).

Has anybody else changed their's and did you notice any difference after?, at 33k miles it had some dirt particles in it and at £14 for the filter and the two o-rings its piece of mind for this item which eludes the service schedule.

Next job, spark plugs of the iridium flavour

How did you know what to torque the bolts to.

20lbft it's a single 22mm socket to remove the pressure valve on which the filter locates. It's unlikely you would over tighten it unless you used a large wrench.

Done it on mine too, the filter was brown but clean.
