New cams and followers installed and shimmed.. more descriptions to come..
 
You're also getting new chain and fresh chainguides? (whole front of the car and timing case is off; thats quite a bit of work)

I am probably missing something really obvious, but that looks like a floor mat? What is the metal part?

Guido, New chain guides yep :thumbsup: , completely. :thumbsup: New chain.. not if it isn't required. The whole front of the car is off as there are .... Some... Other.... Modifications ... Going on besides the cams,pulleys and vanos and this made the whole upgrade Soo easy.. :crazydude:

It's been a long time coming..
 
Hi Vanne, I saw your update on zpost but couldn't post there since, your car is looking wild man.

Great work on everything and i mean everything!! I also recently rebuilt my Vanos with all the beisen stuff... it felt a bit tight for the first 300km's but after that you could feel the vanos working and the car pulled strong...
 
D4, car is used for what it was designed for, just a smidge over 205k kilometres. :driving:

ZAR, thx mate, its been a very fun road building the car, nearly as much fun as driving it ;) I appreciate the kind words mate and thx for the info that the vanos will loosen up after a bit..
