Running like a dream!

Well, I've spent some money on the 'M' this month, the first money for 18 months. Had a four wheel alignment done, then fitted a new pair of front tyres and finally today had an oil service done.

Batemens in the Lakes were, as always superb, if only all BMW dealers had their attitude. Car taken in, I'm told it's too clean to wash! lol. then shown the car on the hoist drippng oil into the bin and I get to discuss my car with the 'M' tech who takes the time to go over eveything with me. Oil change and brake fluid change for £224.

The car feels more planted since the alignment but the biggest difference has come from the new Conti M3s on the front. The car feels grippier and steering more precise. More like it was when I bought it! The tyres were 6 years old and it seems that they d go 'off' a bit with age.

Car feels better now than it has done for ages and an afternoon hooning around the Lakes was a nice bonus for the drive up to batemans.

Taz, no job at present so may have to sell eventually. Will try to hang on to the car this summer at least!

I know this is an owners club forum but I really think you'd be pushed to find many other cars where people pay a lot of money for quite a niche brand new car and so many of us still own them 6years on .. Such a great package.

I've got a few big bills coming up too, but she's worth it

Excellent news, nothing like money well spent to make you feel good

Mr Jembo is helping me spend some cash on 4 new Michelin non-RFTs a week on Friday - should improve my own experience no end, top man

Next will be Eibachs and my own 4 wheel alignment so delighted to hear it makes such a difference.

I second that...over 5years with mine now,and would only swap it for another z4..even if mines just a 3.0i;its a great car :driving:

True enough its lovely to feel the car all perky and purry after a good service.

Then you off and trash the hell out of the tyres :evil:
