Run flats on aftermarket wheels

I have the opportunity to get some lovely 19" wheels, but would want to use my current tyres which are oem bridgestone run flats.

can runflats be put on any wheel, or is there something special about the oem wheels that allow the runflats to fit?
Loads of 'opinion' around, but does anyone know the facts please?

Thanks

You can put RFT tyres on normal rims but the tyres aren't retained against the rim lip. This means you can't drive on tyres which re deflated or at very low tyre pressures like you can on OE rims. Basically all the disadvantages of RFT tyres without the advantages.

Pages 95-97. Basically for proper operation you need EH2(+) rims, though H2, FH2 & CH will retain the bead to a certain extent.

I know on this side of the pond tire fitters won't install a run flat tire on a rim that is not designed for a run flat tire.
