Run flat indicator

Hi everyone just a question on the run flat tyre indicator
Woke up this morning to find I had a rear passenger flat tyre
Pump it up to the manufacter's recommended 2 bar pressure for driving with
With pressure loss ( didn't use the mobilty kit) and drove 1 mile to a tyre centre
But had no warning light come on to warn me of tyre pressure loss?

Does that mean it isn't working? Any answers would much appreciated.

My guess would be that as you pumped up the tyre to the required pressure before driving, it didn't give you a warning. Had you driven any further, it would've come up.

How flat was flat? Mine came on the other day and I found out one of the rears was down to 17psi. Pumped it up and reset, and the next day it was down to 24psi but no indicator.

Although with 17psi in the tyre looked completely normal, not flat at all.

I had a puncture the other week and the indicator was re-set after several pumps to get home and seemed to come back on when about .4 or .5 bar had dropped. I think it works on the radius of the tyre rather than pressure.
