I had the car in the shop last week. When starting the car first thing in the morning, engine would start fine ( right up to idle ) then the rpm would drop for a second or two then come right up to idle. I did not think much of it really. When I went to retrieve the car, I was told it was a good thing I had it looked at. He showed me the part that had been replaced ( DISA valve ). This is a vlave and housing that work with the vacume advance system ( or that is how it was explained to me ). Its a housing that has a flapper valve in it that open and closes. It was thrashed. The flapper valve sits on a pin on one side and has a hoop over the top to hold it on the pin. The flapper was not in place on either end. Just thought I would through it out here for the heck of it.
