Roof

Hi all, picked up my 54 plate 3.0l z4 today, drove it non stop all day, love it! when i asked salesman about roof it went down but he said you have to lift it half way manually to make it go back up, is this right? something inside is telling me thats not right, thanks for any advice, tiff

Hi and welcome.

No, the roof is fully automatic. The only manual aspect is that you need to move your finger to the button and press it! :D Salesman is telling porkies.

Get that car back to the dealer real quick under warranty or you have one huge bill coming up to remove the hood and fit a new motor or repair a damaged frame. It should close and open in around 10secods without touching it at all

I hope you get it sorted or your money back, once done then please name and shame this dealer  , so full of BS it makes your blood boil :x

Good luck hope you get it sorted do not let them get away with selling you a zed that is not 100%
Ho yes a good choice in getting a Roadster :poke: :poke: :poke:
Get some pics up when you get your Zed back

that ridiculous, I can't believe he would even propose that.

Car Salepeople will just make anything up it seems. When I was looking for a Clio 1.6 (a few years back  ) The woman at Car supermarket tried to convince me that they didn't exist!

the dealer (Peugeot) just phoned, they can`t fix car they sending it to BMW for work to be done, so looks like i will be running around in a little peugeot courtesy car for a while, im glad in a way BMWare doing the work, dont think i trust Peugeot :(

well its good they are stepping up to the plate like that. But then they know that, irrespective of any warranty, the law makes them responsible for six months from the point of sale for any fault that might have been just developing, never mind extant, at that time. :)

they had my car for 3 weeks now, still not fixed. whenever i see a z4 i think "i used to have one of those" fingers crossed they get it fixed this week.

x 2. No doubt the price charged by BMW has stalled the process but that's not your problem. Letter to the original dealer - 3 days for vehicle return or money back.
