Jacked up one side to remove front spoiler.
Keys inside my pocket.
Roof button must have been pressed and roof tried to open. Due to angle of car it stuck. I tried to close it which it almost completed however the boot does not close properly. Boot is locked and won't open. Roof not fully closed, windows all down and won't close.
Really f*ck up
At a loss on what to do ... 🙈

Urgent help from the collective reqired.

Plugged in Carly reader.
No codes shown. No roof fault however the red led is flashing.

It’s easy to do..the tilt inhibit should stop it but often doesn’t..

Need to read the status of the various sensors to ‘see’ where the issue is..

Usually commanding the segments with it on the straight and level with a helper to get it straight works..

Suspect Carly lacks the sensor and command capability..

Hi,

I now need to get into the boot to try and align the mechanism.
Remembered reading of a fix to bypass the manual boot operation.

Did some searching and found the Pin 12 to live fuse trick.
Also the suggestion that the link is to a switched fuse so only works when key is in position.

Cant find any photo's of which fuse to use ....
Does anyone have a picture that could be shared?

I purchased one of those piggy back fuses when i bought my replacement boot switches.
So this with be used along with a switch to prevent similar problems in the future.

For anyone that has done this emergency frig ....

What fuse number should be used to work the boot release.

Connector pin 12 to Fuse # ????

I don't believe it maters what fuse. There will be 12v on either side, unless the fuse is blown.

Ok, for those that have tried this fix, how do you get the large connecor free from the fuse box to get access to pin 12.

I have pulled, pushed, every way with no success.

Or does anyone know what cable colour is linked to pin 12. It may be easier for me to splice into this cable and link to live feed via momentary push button switch.

Can then tuck switch along side fusebox for future emergencies.

As they say .. one step forward 3 steps back at the moment.

It's absolute b*gger to do. I know a scanner such as a Foxwell NT510Elite can pop the boot. Can anyone help Jim out?

Further searching located an aid to get the connector released.
I cut a slot in a washer, placed this over the ejector and pushed against the washer towards the bulkhead.
Magic. Connector popped out. (Needs a lot of force to eject it).

Located pin 12 (grey/green cable 2011 model).

Momentarily linked this to 30amp green fuse and boot popped open.

Success .....

Now need rain to stop to try and get roof operational once more.

Hi all,
Have now installed a push button in the glove box to pop the boot.

Now need to fix the red led fault
Carly identified error 00739 Central locking drive, rear lid.
Any suggestions on how to progress?
Rear roof section is not locked into position.
Tried pressing down on the roof while operating the roof buttons with no success.
Red red just keeps flashing.
