Roof won't go up until ignition is turned on and off

Now this is totally random,

But lately when I come to a standstill, when I press the button to bring the roof backup, nothing happens. I have to turn the ignition on and off in order for the roof to return to the close position. Any ideas?


Also of late, I'm randomly getting a couple of beeps when I first goto start my car up - there are no lights on the dash depicting anything?
