Roof unresponsive after battery only closure...

Weird one this and has only happened the once in three years; closed the roof with the engine off, everything's fine windows up etc. Then a day later start the car and go to open the roof and nothing, no flashing lights, no unlatching, totally dead.
So I check the micro switch in the boot first and that's fine, check the fuses and they're fine and now I'm starting to wonder what the hell is going on as even when my roof motor failed before the roof itself still unlatched ok.
Go indoors to check the net and nothing came up, so as I've got to be somewhere decide to just go roof up and sort it out on my return.
After restarting, try the roof again and the damn thing works perfectly. :D
So happy it's working but a bit perplexed as to why it didn't.
Maybe it's one of those IT things where it's best to just try a reboot before anything else...

My roof often get's opened and closed with the car not running (via the remote gaptech hood opening / closing)... I've never experienced this issue.

Were the other buttons (like the heated seat buttons) working when the roof ones wouldn't light up? Could be a loose connection to the buttons?

Possible loose connection somewhere or dirty connection, just remember this if it happens again... go for a drive :)

As above open and close mine on battery only all the time - never a glitch once

One off and I'd pay no attention to it unless it happens again.

On a pc you'd ctrl alt del and think nothing of it..
