Roof Seals

Hi,
As it is that time of year for freezing door seal, I have been lubricating them. This brought me on to the roof seals, I have searched the site but can't find the subject now.

I'm sure that there was a thread about lubricating the roof and a discussion about stopping the roof part way through the opening/closing process.

Any advice on whether or not it is advisable, can you stop the roof part way through, how do workshops service them if not.

I have not had the car long and don't want to damage it, the car does live outside on the drive as I don't have a garage. It is used most days but not for long journeys, it is a 61 reg with metal hardtop.

Cheers,

Colin. :driving:

Stopped mine many tiimes for cleaning purposes midway, never had a problem with it because of it... yet!

I've stopped mine in any position for ages with no problem when I treated my seals to Gummi Plege.
