Roof pump and fuses layout

Hi, I have a Jan 2008 Z4 The roof won't go up or down and I fear the hydraulic pump might need replacing: looking for someone in Devon who might sort it for me. Today I find the button serving the bootlid won't activate the mechanism: I have located the fuses but find there is a card identifying which fuse serves what but I can't undertand the card for there is a list of letters & numbers none of which I can understand: is there anywhere I can access a printout listing the actual elements relating to the individual fuses?

Thanks ever so much for your response. Bristol is the best part of 2hrs from me....particularly in the summer for the M5 is dreadful. I might act on your suggestion if I can't find someone south of Taunton or in east Cornwall. Thanks again

No-one who specialises in the roof relocations any further West than that AFAIK. May find another member who has doe theirs and is willing to help. Are you far from Perranporth? I'm down there for Xmas if you still need it done.

Im happy to help if you can come up to Bristol, otherwise your other option is Ross at RBM Hampshire along the A303.

Maybe if you can describe your symptoms in a little more detai,, we can give you some pointers and save you a journey

Many thanks for your reply and your tip re RBM: I use the A303 from time to time and might call in but in the meantime I having to bite the bullet and visit a recommended garage, Jason Bowden, in Torquay. Regards

I'd be interesting see:
a. What they do
b. where they end up putting the motor
c. The cost.

Would probably be just as cost effective to go to Bristol and get it done by the expert.

Hi, I'll let you know what happens...it's raining again so I can't even show them the problem let alone book in the car. The problem with Bristol is that the possibility of an overnight stay would obviously increase the overall cost....I'll keep you posted. Regards

I would speak to Alan ([ref]Number5[/ref]) and explain your issue. In all likelihood he'll only take an hour or two to fix it.

Alan, enuff_zed has kindly suggested I get in touch with you regarding my not being able to operate the roof on my Jan 2008 Z4. I really need to speak to someone rather than type a long note regarding the roof and associated problems: is it possible for you to contact me so that we can it through? Thanks Paul
