Roof motor..

I suspect/fear I know whats wrong here, but here goes...

My roof motor has suddenly stopped working. Was absolutely fine, showing no signs of stuggling etc, but now when I press the button to lower it, the latches by the windscreen open, the light by the button flashes, and then...silence.

Could this be a simple fuse/battery issue, or is my motor bust?

If its the motor, I'm a bit annoyed as when I bought the car 18 months ago the previous owner (a poster on here..) told me it'd had a new motor.

Even more annoying as I'm also on/off toying with the idea of selling the car.
 
I had a similar problem last week
I then checked the cover in the boot which I knocked and dislodged when getting something out
Just replaced it to its proper position and all was well
It's worth a look
 
Its bum news johnny & fingers crossed its something minor but a little unfair to have a pop at the previous owner when you have had the car 18 months :wink:
 
Not got a lot of faith in the roof motor had mine replaced under BMW extended warranty 07plate, sold the car two months later had a text a year later from the person I sold it to telling me it had gone again (still under warranty) IT could not have had more than a couple of hours use. :o
