Roof motor replacement??

Hi guys,

Just stepped out and I thought I'll drive with the roof down but it's not working! The light stays on and the roof moves from the latch by a bit but stays there. Any idea why this is happening and who can repair this?? I'm based in Leicester so if anyone can point me in the right direction, I'd appreciate it.

Hi

There is a guy on the forum who fixes old roof motor and then puts them in the boot. This keeps it dry. He has done mine last year, it's superb. If you've bought a new motor. I would still relocate it if I was you.

As above you have a few options
Ducklakeview is in Warrington area if your on Facebook look up zed shed

Hi bowser134, seems like you might be the guy for roof motor relocation that’s closest to me (Thurrock, Essex). Have just acquired my first Z4 E85 3.0 (2004), all seems fine with the roof at present but going by all the knowledge and experience on the forum I’d be foolish not to consider relocating the motor as a preventative measure! Therefore, would be grateful for a quote, please PM/email me as I can’t seem to be able to do it, maybe because I’m a newbie :)
