Roof light flashing constantly after water ingress

Thank you very much for all the help and pointers! The car is now back and almost fully working (it needs a new rear light and the rear vents replaced as this is where the water is coming in) New light ordered and booked in to get the vents done in a couple of weeks.

The garage took the motor apart and dried it all out and it is now running properly. They replaced the microswitch, but going by Rob's post they may have also replaced a section of wire at it as the fault is now cleared and the roof is running smoothly. I'm just glad that it's fixed and it didn't cost too much!

Good to hear yours is on the mend, as per my thread below I opened up the motor after some ingress in the boot and drying it for a few days. They seemingly do very well at holding the water inside the casing as when I removed the cover loads of water fell out - so anyone wanting to try the dry-out fix first will very likely need to remove the motor casing, otherwise the electronics (incl the thermostat/heat sensor) will just be sitting in a pool of water.

Still waiting to hear back from the dealership on next level of diagnostics - seems to be taking forever!!
