Roof issues

Help!! Any advice on my roof issues, I went to use it the other day and nothing happened, just the amber light on when I pressed the button. The windows didn't drop, no noise from anything. Could this be an electrical issue instead of the motor. like a switch or something. Any advice on where should I look.
It's been working fine up to now.

I did check the tray and it's down, but we did have a suitcase and large bag in the boot and it's since then, that it's stopped, so I will have another look.

I believe Amber light is where the micro switch believes the parcel shelf is up- it can ping out quite easily though! When my roof motor died, I was getting the standard window drop, unlatch from the windscreen and red light, but nothing from the motor. Hopefully yours is a lot simpler!

Thanks for the replies, I hope to have a look tomorrow, I'm so busy just now.
 
While you're in the boot, make sure that the micro switch arm is intact, sounds as if it's come out of the slot in the boot tray or even pinged off completely.
