Roof issue, Think I made a boo-boo

OK, so I think I screwed something up.

My wife locked the keys in The trunk. I ended up reaching through the gap between the rear tray and windshield to pull on the manual release to open the trunk.

After this issue, the roof will not open when pressing the button. The odd part is that after I manually opened the roof. It closed by pressing the power button. But when I try to open it, nothing happens. I don’t even hear the hydraulics trying. I tried to reset the window memory, and that didn’t work. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Flashing orange light on the control panel by any chance?

I’m guessing you’ve dislodged the rear shelf and the microswitch on the rear wall isn’t engaged.

The shelf in the boot has a sensor on it to ensure it's fully down before the roof will go down. Usually the LED next to the roof open button lights up orange whenever mine's come out of position and there's no motor noise, etc at that point.

Lifting the shelf and dropping it back down (there's a knob either side of it in the boot that lifts/lowers it) fixes it for me. Sounds like that might have been lifted and therefore stopping the roof lowering as a safety mechanism.

(On one of my zeds the knob on the shelf that closes the switch broke off the shelf, so I just tape the switch closed and never lift the shelf in the boot. Might catch me out one day, but it's better than having the roof permanently shut.)

I’ll check it this weekend. I noticed that there is a flap on both sides of the tray. The one on the passenger side looks like it is t sitting properly.

Where exacts the switch? I’m 99% sure it must be the switch.

Oh and no flashing orange light

If the roof opening button isnt flashing orange when pressed its not the microswitch. Here's its location anyway.

Thanks everyone for there help, I bypassed the switch and it works.

Next problem is door locks… do I make a separate thread or do I just ask the question here. I’ll do both. My remote key lock used to unlock both driver side and passenger side door. Now it only unlocks the driver side door. I can push the door unlock button on the inside of the car, but nothing happens. once I unlock the door by pulling the doorhandle. The switch in the centre console starts to work.

Etiquette suggests starting a new thread for a new problem. (I'd suggest it sounds like a GM5 module issue, repair services are available for it if you search.)
