This is annoying. Is it worth taking the roof off and moving the motor into the boot as a first pass?

I've a spare motor which I just spun-up. Its fine. So as a solution it is just time and little expense.
And anyone know if agricultural hydraulic fluid works for a top up?
(I can get some from my farmer neighbour.)

cheers all and sorry for not being around much. Life you know, it gets busy...

ducklakeview will do it for £80 IIRC for that money not worth struggling
IMHO having watched Bowser134 do mine and practise does make perfect

ps doing it is a no brainer

Thanks. I saw a ducklake thread an am seriously considering it. But i'm at a loose end and trying to avoid becoming too bourgeois.

I'll probably crack.

Bowser did it without removing hood, suspect Ducklakeview would have it done before you can turn around and all perfect rather than constantly trying to reset the roof ................................

Ducklakeview did mine a month or so ago, gutted I put it off for so long, took him less than an hour to remove, recover and refit.

Decent bloke as well, give him a shout.

did it myself, it took a day but the roof is gleaming now.
The new old motor is so much faster. And its nice to be able to hear it running in the boot. I expect it to last forever now.
£80 is good value but you don-t get to know your vehicle and familiarity with the gubbins is reassuring.
cheers.
