Roof down driving into work?

Just putting it out there. Following on from coaldust's thread. Anyone drive to work and park up on work premises with the roof down? (obviously put it up when leaving the car). Reason why im asking is, im 30. Look younger than my age could pass for about mid 20's if i want (i like to think) :) and i feel people then to judge straight away based on what the car looks like. Do any of you seem to get judged by managers directors etc that have..... cars which aren't a good looking as the Z4.

I'm 28 minutes away from being 30. You are the right age to be driving a 2 seater sports car. Sod what anyone else thinks.

And yea, I've been driving into work with the roof down for 3 years now, makes the drive enjoyable  :driving:

Before early retirement I used to go to and leave work in my MX5 with roof down unless it was raining - didn't do it for the benefit of anyone else - just loved open top motoring and it was a blast to do this before and especially after, work.

:driving:

Again, I think that people generally overestimate how much other people think about them or the attention they give them. There is some psychological research about this, when I dig it out I will put link on. I drive into work and away from work with the top down whenever the weather allows ( like yesterdat ). I used to leave the MR2 open all day, but with the convenience of the auto roof on the zed I close it, simply because at times I came back to a swimming pool MR2. There are 200 members of staff at 2,500 16-19 year olds, do I care what they think - No.
I actually think that people who complain about what other people are saying/thinking rather like the attention. :poke:

If 30 is the right age, I am 50, 240 pound bodybuilder what does that make me :D

I guess what I am trying to say who gives a flying f what people think :driving:

Doesn't matter. I drive to and from work with the roof down as much as I can.

I only got my car in late August last year so haven't had the 'full summer experience' yet.

We had two of our guys down from our head office in Newcastle yesterday who happened to turn up in their taxi as I did and make a comment about me being a flash git...

Do people look sometimes given my age....yes...do I care, no,

:D

Always arrive at work with the top down. It makes putting on my car cover much easier. You should see the looks that putting on and taking off a cover every day generates.
