Roof control module

So, slowly working through “issues” with our Z4, and one is this, when opening or closing the roof, the windows drop but don’t automatically go back up once the roof has completed its action, and even holding the “roof close” button doesn’t close them. OK, it’s not a major issue as I have just used the window switches but it would be nice for it to do what’s it’s supposed to do, so is it the roof control module that’s at fault?

Cheers

Check out the reset procedure shown in this thread (and many others)

Oh well, full marks for trying.
I still reckon it is something to do with the resetting of the windows rather than the roof.

Perhaps scan the car for error codes. I had to reset an error in the window module when the above method wouldn't work once.
Or maybe the comfort closing options need coding?

I have already scanned for error codes when looking at something else, and there are no codes stored at all, for anything.

When I've disconnected the battery I get the same problem as you. It usually takes quite a few attempts for me to be able to get the windows reset. The first clue for me that I've succeeded is that the passenger window one-touch up starts to work.
