Roof buttons no light

Hi guys as above, my roof works fine but the buttons don't illuminate. Not a big problem but just wondering if there's a simple fix??

Do the other buttons in that row of switches light up as they should ?

I haven't got heated seats so no other lights on there. Unless the DSC and low tyre pressure buttons are spposed to light up?? I haven't noticed if they do :o

Red flashing light indicates an incomplete cycle,
Orange indicates the parcel shelf is up.
No light would suggest either the main roof fuse has blown or the Controller has died.

Check the connections to the Roof Module which is located in the rear passenger quarter midway between the storage pod (or extra speaker) and the door catch.
1. Pop out the storage pod (or speaker) by just prizing it out.
2) Then undo the 5 black crosshead screws that are revealed
3) With the passenger door open, pull the rubber seal down to the bottom and this will free the whole panel up giving you access to the Roof Module. (Its about 100mm x 100m x 25mm and light grey).
4) There are two multiplug connections going onto it and either one may have come loose.

Worth a try and a cheap fix if it's right !

Report back !

This may also help..

Do you have the Gaptech roof mod fitted? As I had the same problem a few months back, the roof dropped/raised correctly but the lights under the buttons did not light up. I removed the ash tray and the switch panel to check the wiring and found a green and black wire had been pulled out and reconnecting this fixed the problem so even if you haven't got the Gaptech fitted it may be worthwhile you checking this wire is connected/has power when raising lowering roof.

Good luck with your investigation

Sorry, Jayd100. I totally mis-read this. I didnt pickup that the roof was still working. I'd read it as the switch and everything was dead. Sharpyboy's idea seems far more logical
