Roadster Solutions wind deflector owners-

Lifer
Hi all can any owner of the above place hand on heart and say they dont scratch the hoops?-i know its been mentioned on here that the plastic velcro type straps dont, but to be honest i cant see it myself,as the movement of the car etc must surely move the straps slightly?-its just that in the near future im after a deflector of some sort to please my better half,i deffo dont want to drill the hoops (i dont trust myself)-and the gimp type spoils the look of the car from the rear imo. -thanks in advance.

Deflectors with velcro straps look awful. I can't see putting a part that looks like $3 on a car that looks like a million. Why not choose one of these?

The Roadster Solutions windblocker does not use velcro straps, I have had mine for a couple of years and found the company great to deal with but you will pay import duty.
I looked at all options before purchasing and came to the conclusion that the R S was the best buy. I did not like the velcro strap blockers that were on the market.

But it's being sold by BMW Direct :?

Perhaps they made it 'see-through' deliberately In the misguided belief it looks better ?

I have never tried using the zed without the wind deflector fitted. Does it make a huge difference?

At low speed when the weather is good, no. When it is cold or at high speed, definitely

Especially in the dark - I have fancied a clear plastic one for a while, but too many £££ ... Plenty of other things to do to the Z before spending my money frivolously :P
