Roadster roof microswitch

I think I have a problem with the parcel shelf microswitch - roof not going down, orange light flashes. Does anyone have photos of what the microswitch should look like when correctly located? What are the best ways to resolve microswitch problems?

I don’t know what it should look like as mine fell off.
Just tape the micro switch shut and it should work ok.
Just don’t forget to have the shelf lowered.

It’s the little hook lever at the bottom of the slot.
The Roof ECU is looking for a 'closed' circuit, so shorting the wires will work as a temporary fix.

Best way to solve is a new micro switch - luckily its a common BMW part used on the 3 series also, so nice and cheap. Mine became twisted and warped and wouldn't stay in it's holder in the boot. Think the replacement was only a few quid (who little unit - not just the metal tab) and it's been fine since.
