Hi,
Can anyone with a 2007 registered Z4 3.0si coupe tell me the annual road tax cost? Some dealers seem to think it's £280 others £470. Thanks.

For a start road tax was abolished in 1937. :wink: It's a 'car tax' called VED. The higher figure is for the 3.2M model.

Only reason I looked is someone I know has got the new m5 and said the tax was 840 quid which I thought was mental...

I think the £1000+ figure is just for the first year of registration, then drops to £490 for each subsequent year.

In reality you'd never pay £1000+, would be a negotiation point with the dealers.

Go to facts and figures and find the car you want to look at.

I always thought how expensive my Z4M was...it's £490 for my 4litre V8 M3 none of it makes sense to me, how can they charge the same for a V8 & a six cylinder, crazy!
