I recently ordered a set of Riva DTM 19" staggered alloys in silver for my Z4. They arrived a few days ago and today was the day for cleaning and prepping them ready for a coat of Gtechniq C5 before strapping them on!
The fronts came up very well after a cleanse and decontamination, followed by a quick clay and polish. However the barrels seem to have a different (non-gloss) finish to the fronts and the clay bar was pretty filthy after use. A couple of passes with the DA and the pad was turning a very dark grey / almost black.
For those of you that have a set of Riva DTM's - are your barrels also a duller non-gloss finish inside?
I want the surface to be as clean as possible before the Gtechniq is applied.
