rims questions for z4 2003, 5 x 120 pcd

Hello everyone,
(long time reader but seldom post)

I currently have 19" rims with 265/30 r19 (rear) & 235/35 r19 (front).
1. Can anyone tell me what the width of both front and rear rims are, im guessing 8.5"
for both?
2. What might the offsets be?

I'm asking because I want to put on 18" rims all around (hard to find 19" tires
in the philippines. Is offset a consideration on buying 18" rims? I'm not
exactly sure what offset is and its relevance.

Thank you and thanks for all the info everyone's shared in the past.

Michael, z4 2003

There's no way for anyone to know the width of the specific wheels you mention from just the width of the tires mate. 265 tyres can be on anyting from 8" to 9" to even 10" with a lot of stretching! Are they BMW wheels? Do you have photos? Sometimes the specs of the wheel are printed on the back of the wheels so if you have them off you can check there first.

Having just done some research on wheels...

If they are standard BMW wheels for the Z4 they are likely to be 8" front and 8.5" rear. This is the same on 18s and 19s.

The listed offset for a normal Z4, not M pre and post facelift is between et45-52

These are taken from other sites so thanks to the others.

If the clearances are fine with your current rims and tyres, put the dimensions of what you re looking to replace with into the calculator on link below and it will tell you how much the dimensions/clearances will change and affect speedo so you can make a better decision.

Thank you all, I really appreciate your answers. I need to buy a 'spare' rim, 19" 5x120 pcd.
I guess I'll buy one that is 9" in width. Hopefully that will suffice :-)
Great people here!
Mike

Forgot to say, I was considering 18" rims, but decided to simply buy new 19" tires and one 19" spare rim.
Btw : my current rims aren't BMW, they are 19" Euro mags.
