Ride quality - Vredestein Senssanta Vs Falken 452

I had Falken 452 on my 3 series coupe which transformed the handling which was an unpredictable nightmare.
It sounds like both tyres transform the handling and I'm tempted to get Vreds this time (mainly for the rim protection) but was wondering if anyone has had direct experience of both and if so what do you prefer.

Depends how you define ride quality? Do you mean comfort or handling? Handling wise the falkens are a little slacker due to the softer sidewalls. You need a bit of pressure in them to get the best out of them. Comfort wise there isn't much in it if you're going for the same sizes. I find the Vreds a little noisy but in fairness I've got them on 19" CSLs so can only compare to falkens that I had on my previous Z (on 18"s)

Well ideally both, I only have the 452 as a benchmark and I noticed after having the 452's fitted to the coupe that turn in was a little less sharp due to the softer sidewalls but that was something I was more than happy with to get rid of the tramlining.
I guess it's a case of I know what to expect from the 452's but if I get that with the Vreds plus the rim protection then I'm happy to stump up for the extra.
They will be a direct replacement for the 18" I have at the moment on an Si so sport suspension.

Do you plan on getting the same sizes as your RFTs? Front: 225/40Z18 | Rear: 255/35Z18 I think.

Wondered if there was an optin to go for a slightly higher profile...

I've just ordered a set of Falken 452s from Camskill for £373.56 in delivery !
(255/35 & 225/40's)

Im getting rid of the RFT's

Vredesteins were £150 more expensive.

I feel that anything would be better than the Runflats

Really? I've actually come to the opposite conclusion, but perhaps that's just my preferences. On the standard 18" staggered sizes in Falken FK452s I've settled on 30f/32r after a bit of faffing around with higher pressures. IMO the car just feels a bit more planted at those pressures compared to slightly higher: I had tried 31-33psi front and 33-35psi rear but gradually reduced them.

I ran mine at 35 rear 33 front after some experimentation.

That's what I started at and reduced gradually to my current 30f 32r, different tastes I guess!
