Yeah, I know, I got a bad transformer habit

But I think you just out-geeked me with the VF-01 reference. :D

:D Just trying to make everyone feel at home and as an equal. :online2long:

So... about TransFormers... did it eek you that they used GMC cars for the movie instead of the original cartoon vehicles? :x

Aebous, the helicopter was "Blackout", and the tank was "Devastator". Oddly enough, the toy version of the tank is named "Brawl".

Jazz as a Solstice was a bit disturbing ... but I liked the film overall, as a fresh start instead of a continuation of the cartoon or comic. I did find it ironic that Bumblebee took down Devastator in the final battle, given their original statures in the cartoon.

Hasbro has tried multiple times in the last few years to license VW and Porsche models (for Bumblebee, Jazz, etc.), but have been denied as those companies (or is it comapany?) do not wish to be associated with "war toys". As a result, we see our favorite characters showing up as Renaults, Pontiacs, Chevys, Mazdas, etc.

Though I'm not a big Ford fan, Barricade (the evil Saleen Mustang cop car) was easily my favorite in the movie.

Have I managed to reinstate my geekdom? :D

Oops almost forgot ...

Actually none of the Decepticons were GMCs. Besides Blackout, Barricade, and Devastator, Starscream was an F-22 Raptor (bada$$ ), Bonecrusher was another military vehicle (Buffalo armored vehicle), Frenzy switched between a boombox and a cell phone, Scorponok was the non-transforming scorpion drone launched from Blackout, and of course Megatron was an alien jet (proudly taking no earth form).

I thought FORD didn't want to be portrayed as the "bad" guy compared to GMC, and declined the use of their Mustang. Saleen jumped in and let the movie producers use their cars.

Good action movie, but too long... way too long.

Post the answer to the quiz

Anyways....
I loved bumblebee the best....though i think the whole theater heard my gasp (and muffled curse word) when they called the old camaro a piece of crap (damn women-**dons flame retardent suit*). And well....lets just say the new camaro....I'm considering trading in the Z four....
