Rhd to Lhd conversion parts

Hi,
Everything can be done with sufficient amount of money and this is an DIY, if you have the time and inclination.

If you compare RH/LH SNs on realoem, you’ll get an idea of how extensive the list is of parts will be, and that most of those parts are out of production now. With the pricing of these cars, buy a similarly speced, cheap LHD donor car for parts. Then, in your RHD zed, disconnect battery and remove the sw airbag. Unbolt your steering wheel. Remove car and replace with donor. Steering wheel bolt back on, airbag back on and connect battery. No coding necessary.

Look at ebay.de for second-hand parts. https://www.ebay.de/itm/374568234241?hash=item573601ad01:g:esYAAOSweYxkFBGs&amdata=enc%3AAQAIAAAA0K3%2BvrT1H5Thg2H9wRoN34qn7tXAx44DivcRxKZfNNZUF6Sr0O6ZazeMRtcNN22QIc4uB6jngK3JkV%2BJ%2Fm5OFM%2FCN1CleCfsHP6%2Ft%2BuTDutnLeXo7JYyIN%2B6v6HQbPv4SaKjvHV27h38fIFkmurt%2BQhysJ%2BkTc27JdbjJ3qFt7q42PzsiATtshZJUU4rVfGDDguMoiAtB0OTALnOr6FJQ8FRkSHyAMrcOTqMyNbQPYJHNzhLoOCNz3hl%2FHs%2FSMx08mJCYohzkOL%2FWKITvPgBIAg%3D%7Ctkp%3ABFBMnsXGvPBh This chap did convert a coupe. https://z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=95605

As far as I can tell, the steering column has to be a LHD one as the EPS motor bolts to the other side of it. However the motor itself has two sets of bolt holes so it can fit to either side.
Biggest problem will be the loom. Then consider where the fusebox is etc etc.
Good luck but I think it's going to be a massive job.

Loom for the seats would need sorting too. There's no occupancy sensor wiring on the right hand side and no wire for the memory for the electric powered seat on left hand side.

Minor point in the grand scheme of things for this task though

Good grief, that sort of project is the thing of nightmares. The list of things that differ between LHD and RHD is pretty long and, as Mike says, the cheapest way of getting them is a donor car. In which case, you've got a LHD car!

I think you should find a like minded person who wants to do the opposite to their car. So you can swap parts over.
Both take a week off work.
On the first day meet in a travel agency.
Whilst mulling over the plan of action browse over holiday destinations you could spend together.
Then swap car keys and go on holiday as it'll be a more enjoyable way to spend the week

It has been done- https://z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=95605. But by all accounts a bad&£rd of a job!
