A fairly common issue but I'm looking for any explanation on what could be causing mine.
I disconnected the MAF to run on default map - No difference. I fitted a used replacement MAF - no difference.
I've replaced the intake boot which had the usual split. I have no other obvious leaks at this point (but not smoke tested)
I've freed up, cleaned and refitted the stuck ICV valve.
I've removed the vacuum pipe from the brake booster and blocked the end. In this situation the brake pedal still causes the revs to rise.
What connection does the brake pedal have to engine running with the Vacuum line disconnected?
Some sort of signal from the DSC unit to the Engine DME maybe?
