Just spoke to MIJ and the car will be put back to standard. They were very understanding. Also goin to refund half the cost which I am very pleased about. Top service from MIJ!!!

I think that's a great deal and they have treated you well

Anyone looking for a Si aftermarket system ought to call them and strike a deal as they have a pre built one on the rack.

ive dealt with mij when the very first opened and they were fantastic and very helpful, when it comes to my z4m i would never and i mean never let them make an exhaust for it, theirs no testing, no development, nothing? if i was to invest in a system it would have to be a well known brand like hayward and scott, i hear the supersprint system is fantastic, but its great you tried this and relised this system isnt for you!! fair enough you dont no until you try rite? i think you may have had a slightly different outcome if youd gone with a "brand name" like miltek ect ect.

Ye to right, I will get vidoes on a new thread tonight, hows the quad goin...looks awesome!

Yes - I'm lovin' it. I was very worried that on my home designed set up (albeit replicating the OEM ///M setup I could end up with an odd sound, but it's worked well. Taken her for a 50 mile run and just have one teeting prob for the weekend in that the exhust expands so much when red hot that it just touches the diffuser on one spot. 10 minutes with a dremmel shoudl see it fixed. Amazing the expansion as it 7 or 8mm off touching when cold !!

Maybe it's just the heat causing the pipe to deform somewhere rather than expanding the diameter, as gaining 6-7mm in radius is HUGE!

No Tony - expansion in the length of the system from headers back to tailpipe :headbang: I'm getting about 7 or 8mm out of 2 metres of pipe...lol

Ah, I understand. Should've gone the titanium route then :P

Although I wouldn't have thought you'd be complaining about an increase in length, never mind girth

Interesting discussion, thanks. Any advice as to which performance system I should go for. I've really missed the sound my Boxster S made with a standard exhaust, a little louder would be great, but your advice would be welcome. Should I also out a cone induction on? Thanks

If all you care about is sound, then all you need to worry about really is the back box, and making it a bit more free flowing.

Don't touch anything else (including induction) unless you are dealing with experts on this car (proper ones, not 'pretend' ones like ChillZ4 used :( ) Ie, Dinan, ESS, etc, are worth looking at...
