I finally got my paddle shifters delivered & I'm needing a bit of assistance on mounting them to my original steering wheel.
I know there are plenty of topics on Z4-Forum discussing & explaining how to retrofit the SMG paddleshift steering wheel and MFSW buttons which goes into great detail on wiring etc. What I'm looking to do is fit the paddleshifts onto my original 2004 Z4 3.0i steering wheel without the MFSW buttons. Is there any specific technique to attach these to the original steering wheel? It does have what looks like an M4 bolt size female screw hole on each paddleshift but as its only one I'm pretty sure after a bit of use they will become loose & could even possibly jam between the steering wheel & indicator/light stocks. Anyone actually attempted this or should I really have bought the SMG steering wheel instead?
