Retrofit cruise control 2007 2.5i SE

Hi all, just checking I'm thinking right...

I've bought a cruise control stalk, so I'm thinking the other bit I need is the loom from the stealer.

Reading the retrofit instructions, I need a blue repair cable and various plugs and sockets.

Are these extra bits necessary? If so, where do I get them from?

Cheers :-)

Jess, I don't think the loom is particularly expensive from BMW themselves, seem to recall figures of £17 being bandied about?

Not a big job either by all accounts...

Mike

I want to do this on my 2.5 2007 too. The lack of CC spoils an otherwise superb car on long runs.
Does the fact my car is an auto make any difference?

I know I need the loom too - been quoted 25 quid from the stealers.

My question is though, when I read the retrofit instructions it says I need some extra plugs and sockets to crimp onto the existing wiring in the car, as well as a 'repair cable'.
Do I need these extra bits or can I get by without?

The bmw loom has everything you need in it, including all connectors, zip ties etc

Also works with auto gearboxes, even changes gear for you if you go up a hill for example

Ah, perfect. I was wondering if they only included the connectors etc in the retrofit kit you see :-)

I best crack on and order one then!! :D

As above, the kit comes with everything you need. The hard part is getting the right pin and connector as the instructions get it wrong (for the N52 anyway).
