Hi everybody!

Do you think it is possible to retrofit an automatic climate control unit on a Z4 (with a manual climate control unit)? If somebody else has ever did this retrofitting, please explain me  .

Thanks a lot

See you.

interesting question! I'm looking forward to legitimate answers. My dad's BMW and most others have that. For me however, I've no interest.

I thought all BMWs came with auto climate control these days. Could you have the dealer just replace the control unit you have with the one you want?

The auto-climate ends up being essentially manual with the top down, anyway. Why go through the expense?

I agree 100%, to be honest i find the manual hvac systems easier to use and they seem to get to the right temp quicker and easier than the auto system especially for short trips, the auto works much better (for me) on long drives where you can really dial in the right temperature.

I have the auto and I like it. But manual vs auto there is no difference when top is up. You set it to a temp your comfortable with and leave the fan on one of the lower settings and it stays steady. I've never had a big problem adjusting temps back an forth on long drives. Like Rosie said, save the money for other mods.
