Retro Fitting

Hi Everyone,

I have just joined but have viewed the site for some time and can't seem to find the answer I need, so wondered if you could help.

I have an 06 reg Z4 Si Sport coupe and would like to retro fit cruise control to it. I asked the dealer if it could be done but they said no, without even looking at the car.

Firstly is there anyway of checking if it is possible, and secondly could anybody sell me or tell me where I can obtain the relevant parts.

Also I asked about the retro fit ipod kit and again was told it was not possible to fit into the car as I have a built in Sat Nav system, is this true.

Any help on this would be much appreciated.

Cruise control is possible, but members have had varying degrees of success in post 04 models (although I think uncertanties may have been finalised by now). Start with this threas and go form there

For the ipod i recomend Intravee II. I recntly installed it and it ticks all boxes and is a straight forward plug & play job

Hi and welcome.

CC has been sorted for facelift models with the N52 engine so there are no problems there just get yourself the switch and wiring loom, don't get the kit as it comes with a cowl you don't need and costs twice as much.

Re the ipod you have a few choices depending on budget from AUX which you may have if it's been retrofitted (panel under AC controls) you need to feel with your hands as it's hard to spot. There are also some offerings from Dension and Dice with Intravee being the top dog, but at a price.

PVR will no doubt be along soon with his Intravee sales pitch. :evil:

buy the stalk and wiring from dealer- should be about 50 quid for the stalk, cut the cowel your self.
