Retro fit multi-function steering wheel

I am looking to buy and retrofit a multifunction steering wheel to a 04 plate 3.0i SE. I have read some of the posts on here on how to do it.

My question is, do I need any other cables or retro harnesses to fit it or is it a plug and play job.

If you are going down the route of a multi function steering wheel , you would be better off getting an M wheel,they cost a bit more but are a big improvement .
