Hi everyone. I have just purchased a Z4 Edition Sport 2.0i and I'm loving it.




My only grip with the car is the acceleration which seems to lag when I put the pedal down.
I have researched online remaps with various companies but they get mixed reviews. I have found a response control module from a german firm Peregrine Vehicle Refinement who claim to improve acceleration with their plug and play item.
Does anybody have any experience with a response control module or with this company. Any views would be welcome.
 
I enjoyed my Titanium Silver 2.0 Sport on the country lanes - it was a well spec'd car too. If kept in the high rev range then it was fun to drive on the move, however I was never happy with its acceleration - it always felt underpowerd to me. A remap won't give you anything noticeable (I know cos I tried). Welcome btw :)
 
That module doesn't even claim to give you more power, it simply acts like the Sport button that some Z4s have by sharpening up the throttle pedal's response. It probably maps 50% of the throttle to the first 25% of the travel or something like that so you get a placebo effect that it's faster. In theory you would be a fraction of a second quicker accelerating as the power is applied more quickly but it's really nothing tangible other than the feel of the pedal.
 
I've a 2.0 with a sprint booster. And I love it. It absolutely does not make the car any faster or more powerful. It just takes the split second delay you get from pressing the pedal to the engine picking up. It feels night and day better in my opinion. Unlike a sport button it stays in whatever mode you have it. I have mine in its most aggressive setting permanently.

You can probably get something similar mapped, but for £100 (what I paid) I'm more than happy with it.
