'Respectable' Mods

Hi all,

I'm trying to make a list of mods for my Z4 coupe. However, I only really want to do stuff that won't ruin the value of my car. So rather than 'mods' as such, things that are an upgrade over standard, things that will improve my car.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance!

There are imho no mods that will give a positive return on the car when selling. What I mean by that is that a mod will always cost more to buy/install than when it will yeald when selling on the car and the mod is still on the car.

But the stubby, an M front bumper, aero skirts and a quad exhaust conversion will always help selling the car and wont give a negative influence.

Things like a front BBK are reasonably easy to convert back to stock, and a used BBK will always be easy to sell.
LSD too, but swapping out a diff requires a car lift. Getting the lsd into a donor diff casing is also specialized work
Getting the diff out and installing a stock diff is about as much work as swapping out a front bbk.
Components like this (lsd, bbk) usually are sold above 50% of their purchase value, so net write off is usually less than new car prices.
Imho they will also not negatively influence sell price on the car, but not always give back any extra money.

I don't know if you have Msport seats but they are also wanted on the 2nd hand parts market.

So suspension is a weakness with these I'm assuming?

Rear springs and front control arm bushings (and more or less anti rollbar end links)
Both are not very expensive to replace compared to what else can go wrong with suspension.

Thanks for the responses guys. I was thinking along the lines of stuff like replacing the suspension when it needs doing with Bilsteins for example and when I need new brakes, upgrade to a big brake kit. Thoughts?
