reprogram transmission control mogul

It looks like I need to replace the transmission mogul on my 2005 z4.
Put the car in reverse and the light came on and would not shift properly.
took the car to the shop and was told bad TCM was bad.
Want to be used but was informed part will need to be reprogramed.
Any help would be appreciated.

You need to find your local ZF transmission specialist he will tell you how to fix it, mine is just south of Birmingham. Most brand specialists don’t touch automatic transmissions they send them to the experts
