Replacing standard seats for sports seats

I've got a z4 E85 with standard seats, no heat, no electric controls whatsoever. I'd like to replace them with z4 sport seats. Do all sport seats have electronic adjustment and heat, or are some completely manual without heat?

Yep, some are manually adjusted with no heat, also seen manual seats with heating as well.
Marlon posted a thread about converting his car over to heated M seats

Thanks Rob. Looking for beige leather seats ... :|

You can also get electric seats, with no heating, so dont assume just if it has buttons, it has heating.

I believe (others please confirm / deny as appropriate) that the pre-facelift cars (2003, 2004 and 2005 model years) came equipped with a wiring harness capable of supporting power heated seats. If that is confirmed by the knowledgeable folks here, you could install power memory seats. And if you can get your hands on a dash switch panel with the seat heater buttons, you could install heated seats.

Further to the comment above, my 2006 3.0si has power M sport seats, but they are not heated. So yes, you absolutely can get power seats without the heat feature.

Ah! Looks like they can potentially be found in whatever combination of "power / manual heated / not heated" and style (Sport / regular) that one could think of.
