Replacing rear top mounts

Going to see a car this weekend, and 1 fault that he knows about is the rear suspension top mounts are needing replaced.

How hard a job is this to do by myself (dont mind working on cars and have the tools), and what would it cost for a new set of top mounts.

I will factor this in when buying the car.

Thanks

Be about £25-30 for two top mounts. Easy job but a bit fiddly as you have to take out the rear parcel shelf....tip, when replacing the clips for the parcel shelf, do that from inside the car. If you buy it and while you've got it stripped its a good chance to move the roof motor to the boot, if it hasn't already been done.
If the top mounts are shot you may find that the rear shocks have had it too,

It is quite an easy job, about half an hour per side give or take. Cost wise none genuine ones from about £20 upwards per side.

Sorry should have mentioned its a coupe

If the top mounts are gone, you'd be wise to look at changing the struts while you're at it. Even if they're still decent, you're taking everything apart that needs to come off and they're going to be past their best for sure.
