replacing rear speakers

I believe I have a back rear passenger speaker, not the sub ('03 z4). I was wondering if anyone knows how to change out the speaker? Can you get to it from the back side, or do I have to remove all the trim on the front?

You need to remove the centre console and all the trim as its botled in from the front by 3 bolts. This link shows you how to remove the interior to gain access....

Thanks.... what a pain. I need to double check the speakers, but I am afraid one bad. I will check the sub first, to make sure it isn't that.

Looking at that link reminds me I have a CD changer at home out of my old MINI (the same one as the Z4 uses) and I haven't had the time or patience to try and fit it yet!

agree, would be silly to retrofit CD changer, I have one never used, intravee much better idea.
