Hi all,

I'm not sure if this is covered in a "how to", i couldnt see anything.

Does anyone know the easiest way to get to the back of the standard stereo to install a new ipod cable, ive bought a new phone and the old connector doesnt fit the new handset.

Can i get to is from the glovebox side where the existing cable is now, or would i need to remove the top and central vents?

Thanks

What iPdod kit have you got installed, Dension or BMW OEM?

Easiest way to get to back of radio it to remove the vents though.

I dont know what kit it is since it came with the car, i'll look to remove the vents as the first option :)

Vents out.

Unless you have girly hands (like me) then you can do it by taking off the angled panel below the ac controls and squeezing your hand up.

Hmmmmm, vents out successfully! my tiny hands werent small enough to avoid many scratches!

Ive discovered that the ipod cable connects into a box via a round connector and not USB! Meaning my new Iphone 5 cable wont connect to it!

Any ideas anyone, ive already tried a 4 to 5 converter cable but music wont play from my iphone....

Ive just gone and bought a "genuine" apple adapter, bit of a rip off! But lets see how i get on now. It says it support Audio :|
