Replacing DSP Head Unit

Hi All,

I am looking to change my 3.0si's radio head unit. I thought it was going to be easy, but found out it is a DSP variant. It has the Navigation and 10 speaker arrangement. VIN Decoder also mentions that it has it.

Has anyone had any luck replacing this type of head unit?
It seems a popular method is using GROM or repositioning the OEM radio to the trunk, but some of the connections to it are shot like the AUX and CD input so I prefer not going this route.

If I choose to change the headunit out, what else will I have to do? What are my options?

Quick update:

Found out that I don't have a CD changer, the back of the car has the GPS System used for the GPS disks. The radio plays CD's fine in the front. The only issue being that once you out the CD in, you can not change between the Radio and CD player.

I think that the "Mode" button does not work and I can not change between signals. If I get this resolved I will most likely go the GROM route.

Anyone have any input?
