Replacement wing mirror mirror

Hi all,

Does anyone know if I can replace just the glass part of the wingmirror mirror? The wife slammed the pax door yesterday and the glass part of the wingmirror fell out and smashed on the floor!
BMW are quoting me £116 but that is for the whole piece including the heated bit behind... Hopefully I can find a slightly cheaper option and glue it in, which will also reduce the necessary punishment for the wife!!

That happened to me, unfortunately I coul dhave prevented it. I saw it dangling by a thread and thought "I can make it to halfords" then I saw halfords and I thought "I'll go on the way back" subsequently it fell off whilst driving past the halfords entrance. sods law.

I purchased a cheap glass from Ebay for like £12, same colour same blind spot and glued it in place. looks good as new.

You'll want the blue tinted wide angled glass with the blind spot section.
