replacement droplinks.

Replaced my front droplinks last year and it's been noted that they're finished already! They were cheap ones off eBay, so it doesn't surprise me.

Anyway, what droplinks have you all used? I've seen Meyle recommended on here before, but eurocarparts doesn't sell them so that's an eBay job I guess. Are there any other brands I should be looking at?

Ideally i'd like ones that are better than OEM. Whether it makes a difference or not, God knows!

Yes pretty straightforward. Just remove the wheel and you'll see if hiding behind the brake disc.

Think i'll go for the Meyle HD ones. The company who's servicing it were going to put Lemforder ones on, but I remember being in Eurocarparts and seeing a recall notice for something made by Lemforder, so would rather go with the others.
 
I have no indication that mine require a change, I'm just thinking purely from a preventative maintenance perspective. Both drop links and ARB bushes come in pretty cheap, and it looks like a fairly straightforward DIY. I have no idea if they have ever been changed or not, and car is approaching 50k miles. Will give me something to do of a weekend!
 
To be honest Chris, I wasn't aware mine were perished! The steering felt a bit odd, but the electric steering has always felt strange to me anyway so I just thought it was an alignment issue.

Spoke to the guy who serviced the Z4 today and he said with the car in the air he pulled on the droplink and could actually see the bushes on the droplinks seperate, which is not good at all :lol:

He did say to replace the ARB bushes also. Now I just need to find them.
