Replacement bumpers costs?

Hi,

I've finally got fed up of the poor standard of parallel parking on my street, which appears to involve using the cars both in front and behind.

Over the last couple years both the front and rear bumper has taken some scratches/damage at various points and my intention has always been to either fix/replace if I were to move somewhere that had better parking, or before selling. If the latter I would at least do some research into the costs and could always offer a reasonable discount that would allow the purchaser to do so if not me.

So, assuming the worst, does anyone have an idea of what a replacement front and rear bumper costs? If as I expect quite a lot, the rear bumper is such that it could probably just be repaired and resprayed, but I don't know about the front - the nose between the grills has been pushed back slightly and one of the fangs has been slightly damaged. I had taken it to a chips away place in the past, but it appeared more of a bodyshop and they were looking at upwards of £1k.

Terrible that so many people have zero respect for other people's property. A real shame as mechanically the car is solid as a rock and the inside over which I have control is near immaculate. Once the external cosmetics are fixed it will be a great example.

Cheers,

John

Last time I looked the rear bumper was about £480. That was over 3 years ago so probably even more now.

Thanks for the replies so far. I assume the front bumper/fangs piece is going to be multiples of the rear?
