Removing Yellow Visor stickers

I used the second approach (heat) along with some solvents to remove the remaining adhesive residue and the end result is a much nicer view of the road sans the gaudy colors on the warning graphics.

Forgot about this DIY; moved here to save navigating off site.

Remove those FUGLY warning labels. :D

I did this mod a while ago, FWIW here's the details.

I know others have been successful with goof-off; but I didn't want to get into that mess.

With the Bimmer the label is fused directly onto the vinyl (or extended leather)
Sooo I gave it a try with a hair dyer a scraper & a few prayers. :)
Use the dyer on high and it will separate from the visor with the scraper.

It's easiest to remove the visors from the car (2 screws)
& screw them down to anchor them during the operation.

The process...

& the results
:D:D:D

There was a little residue after removal.......
Isopropyl & a microfiber cleaned that up.
I followed that with some 303 to condition the vinyl.

It is soooooo nice to be rid of those labels.:)

Sorry all to resurrect this age old thread, but I was wondering...

I removed the airbag warning labes this past weekend and although the view from the cabin is MUCH improved, it's still not perfect.

I have light grey visors (vinyl), and no matter how much I worked, rubbed, warmed or scrubbe (sounds like a good time, eh), a slight discoloration remains. Details drive me crazy, and not being able to get this last bit off is like a little hot needle poking in my mind's eye. I worry that the lighter colors are naturally less forgiving than black (or less easy to simply disguise with some applique). Most don't notice, but I do.

I have already been searching for a means to obtain European-spec light grey visors. Some OEM part supplier don't carry them (or won't get them) and I'm waiting to hear from realoem.com.

Does anybody have a source suggestion? Likewise, I suspect the European part number differs from the US-spec ones. Could anyone help with that part number? Does the part number also denote the color and material?

Sincere thanks for any advice or insights... or for just enduring this post.

Cheers.

EDIT (5 minutes later): Okay, I found this usiong the parts number link in the "problems" section (thank you Overkill for that thread):

I just want to be certain that these are Eruo-spec (sans sticker) and that I can order them here in the yankee states.
